| You can reduce your tuition by $250.00 next year! WHAT IS THE MANNA PROGRAM? St. Bede School has a fundraising program that benefits the school and every participating family. The program is funded by grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations and other retailers. Every time you purchase a certificate from a participating store, a small contribution goes toward your tuition and St. Bede School. It’s the stores that make the donation toward your tuition! You benefit, the school benefits and the stores get your business. Over a whole year those contributions grow into some serious cash! Total tuition credits for all participating families last year was almost $15,000.00! Here is an example of how it works. A family of four has the following weekly expenses: Groceries-$125.00, Gas-$25.00, Fast Food lunches and fine dining $20.00. By purchasing shopping certificates through the MANNA program each week, this family can earn approximately $4.65 per week or $241.80 in tuition credit for the year! Additionally, if they spend a minimum of $50.00 a month on clothing and/or house wares, they could earn an additional $15.00 in a year. TOTAL TUITION CREDITS FOR THIS FAMILY FOR ONE YEAR…$256.80! There are over 100 stores and restaurants that participate in the program. Some of the more familiar stores are: GROCERY STORES: Cub, Dominick’s, Jewel/Osco. RESTAURANTS: Arby’s, Barraco’s Bennigan’s. Burger King, Chi-Tung, Fox’s Pub, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, Great American Bagel, Olive Garden, Palermo’s & Pizza Plus. RETAIL STORES: Bath & Body, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Borders, Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co., Crate & Barrel, CVS Pharmacy, Gap, Home Depot, Kohl’s, Land’s End, Menard’s, Office Max, Old Navy, Sears, Sports Authority, Toys R Us. OTHER: Starbucks, Loew’s Cinema, Shell, Speedway. You can purchase MANNA Shopping Certificates one of two ways. 1) COMPLETE AN ORDER ENVELOPE-Orders turned in on Mondays are filled and returned on Thursdays. 2) CASH AND CARRY-A limited amount of the most popular stores are available on a first come, first serve basis. They can be purchased in the nurse’s office at school during regular school hours. Cash or checks are acceptable methods of payment. (There is a service charge for NSF checks.)
